Exploring the Stars. October 15, 2007 — December 13, 2008
| Description | Western is offering free star gazing nights three times a week throughout the fall and winter. Following a main presentation, participants will be given a tour of the observatory, and have the option of being led through related hands-on or computer activities. Presentation topics include: Life in the Universe, Our Solar System, Stars, Galaxies, Missions to Space, Comets & Asteroids and the Earth/Moon System. Weather permitting, visitors can also use the observatory's telescopes under the guidance of members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. "Exploring the Stars" will be offered on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, *October 15 to December 13, and January 14 to April 17*. Two open houses will be held this year as well, on *Friday, October 26 and Friday, November 30*, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. For more information or to make reservations, please visit www.astro.uwo.ca/exploringthestars or call 519-661-3183. |

Well, in this one, homemade wine and Margaret Atwood's writing act as triggers for exploring relationships and uncovering surprising secrets when four women get together to form a book club. "Let Me Have Men About Me" takes place in a woman's bedroom and memory as she revisits the highs and lows of her wonderful life. This is sure to be a treat for our LCP patrons! In one evening you will be treated to two one-act stage works by London authors and LCP Life Members. |
