Women constitute 61% of university graduates, but women's perspectives account for less than 20% of the commentaries in Canada's largest daily newspapers and on public affairs talk shows. The Informed Opinions project is working to change that. In an engaging, anecdote-packed keynote that's livened with humour and supported by research, longtime Media Action president and former columnist Shari Graydon provides context for why the Informed Opinions project is necessary. This free presentation explores the causes and consequences of the current gender gap and challenges expert women to see themselves as an important part of the solution. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
