Margaret Atwood: What is the impact of art and the artist in advocating and promoting social awareness and cultural change.

As one of Canada's most distinguished literary figures, Margaret Atwood is also an internationally-renowned novelist, poet, critic, and politically dedicated cultural and social activist. She currently serves as Vice-President of PEN International, where she continues to fight against literary censorship.Ms. Atwood’s writings span many topics of interest relating to her own work, modern literature, the creative process, the artist's role in society, feminism, and social activism.
The Arts and Humanities Students Council at The University of Western Ontario is excited to welcome Margaret Atwood to campus on January 19, 2011, 7 p.m. at Alumni Hall. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $15 including tax for Western students, and $25 including tax for non-students. We will embark on a quick-paced and interactive 3-hour session to examine selected tools in a research and evaluation toolbox we will provide to you..

* Interview questions
* Focus groups
* What to do with the information that you collect
